if you are on glyburide for fasting

when do you take your pills? I am still getting high fasting numbers . I am on 5 mg every night. Dr wanted me to take it after dinner, but i keep forgetting and end up taking it right before bed.

before, when she had me on 2.5 mg she had me taking it before bed. I guess i'm not sure if I should change it considering how its supposed to affect my fasting #s and I usually have a snack before bed. I will be seeing a nutritionist thursday but was wondering what you ladies think.

    I was taking 2.5 at bedtime, but my levels were still too high.  A few nights when I woke up to go to the bathroom, I tested.  My levels were really low for me.  It turns out that I was on too high of a dosage and my levels were dipping so low that my liver was pulling out stored glucose and raising my fasting levels.  I now take 1.25 at bedtime and have great fasting levels.  Might want to test in the middle of the night (5 hours after bedtime snack, or so), and see what's going on.

    I will try testing when I get up to pee =) lol! My levels have been a little better since taking 5 but i was wondering about that. I actually almost tested it last night. What were your low numbers? I'm concerned that the dietitian will tell me to eat more carbs than I can handle. I can usually only handle no more than 20 or 30 carbs and keep my levels under 120. I really don't want to go on insulin
