mel mentioned vitamins in my previous post...
Do you give your kids vitamins? What kind? Liquid or like the flintstone type?
And Pediasure... I feel so in the dark. Is it different than the clear one they tell you to give them when they're sick?
thanks

oh that's right lol it's been awhile since I've had to buy that
I'm definitely going to look into that. Is it too much sugar for any every day thing? or is it ok?
Jenny, we do a Flintstone vitamin (the one for 2 year olds, not the gummy- he won't eat that), plus Vitamin C and a liquid that I put into his milk that has elderberry syrup & echinacea (called Planetary Herbals Well Child). I also give Probiotics in his drink - I use Florastor (you can get it at the pharmacy counter).
I give a Pediasure when he's not eating well or refuses breakfast, but I don't like to give it. My doctor is not a big fan of it because he sees it as kind of a crutch & thinks it teaches kids to learn that its ok not to have to eat because Pediasure fills them up. All the doctors I've seen tell me that it has so much sugar you have to be really good about brushing their teeth (and Z no longer lets me brush the molars too well since he likes to do it himself). So, I try not to use the stuff if I don't have to, but I ordered 2 cases of it so I'm sure I will use it up in the next few months. LOL.

Hey Karen,
You use Florastor daily? I didnt think that was an every day probiotic. With Alex's stomach issues, we use probiotics, IFlora, as a daily. Only when his stomach is acting up or even when Max gets a bout of diarrhea do we use the Florastor. There is a lot of sugar in the Pedia Sure, and its not the only thing that Max gets, it doesnt act as a meal replacement. On the days when he is a pain in the ass, he gets a cup of it
And when I do give it to him, I 'water' it down with regular milk.
