Yesterday, DH took my older two to church and I stayed at home with the baby to try to rest. LO apparently had different ideas though- she wound up nursing every hour on the hour and was awake most of the day! And she would NOT let me put her down. If I did, she screamed. It was super hard- and when the family got home from church, DH went out and spent the rest of the day putting turbos on his engine- thanks for nothing! And because he returned to work today, he refused to help me with night feeds anymore (we give DD EBM in a bottle while I pump) so now that's extra time I have to be awake at night. DD didn't want to sleep in the swing last night, so I had to stay awake and hold her and pat her when she cried til she finally went to sleep at 1am. (Went to bed at 10:30, OUCH) And then she woke up at 3am for a feed...
I'm so tired today that I'm being cranky to my kids (poor them, they don't need me to take it out on them but I can't help it!) and I feel like crying because I'm so exhausted. Hopefully DH can come home from work early today, I need help!!
Sorry for venting... not trying to scare any new moms out there. I also have 2 older kids to care for too, so don't think it'll be like this for you! Trust, if this were my first baby I'd be asleep right now because SHE'S asleep, finally.
Re: Yesterday and last night were so rough, *I* need to CIO!!

Liam was like that yesterday. Very fussy. And the past 2 evenings he has wanted to nurse from like 6 pm to 8 pm and then has projectile vomited all over me! Today has been better. I feel like I'm just trying to figure out what he likes and doesn't like. I know that I'm definitely going to get a Moby wrap so that I can wear him and have my hands free for the other 2 kids.
I feel your pain though and I hope you get some rest soon.
This stage will pass! Just repeat that over and over:)
