So my highlights have grown out quite a bit since the last time I got them done, I was thinking about going and just getting an all over color back to my natural... do you think this is ok considering Im only 2 days away from my EDD and about a week away from meeting LO?
Or do you think I should just get highlights again since those don't actually touch the scalp?
Re: Hair Dye
I have dyed my hair several times during this pregnancy, and I have noticed this as well. OB gave me the clear on dyeing after first tri, and my hairdresser reminded me that dyes are MUCH gentler now than they used to be, I say, dye away! I figure too many things about me will look ROUGH after giving birth (sweaty, broken blood vessels if I suck at pushing correctly etc) that I might as well control what I can! Hair dyed? Check! Wake up each morning and do hair in a way that won't look dumb after sweating for ages? Check. Put mascara on so it *looks* like I tried a little bit? Check. Out of pjs? Check. Beyond that, its up to the L&D gods!
I need to do mine too but fortunately I can just do roots at home. I think if you go single process it might look too natural, like you've given up being glam forever b/c you're a mom. People might worry that you're going to start wearing mom jeans
If you're going to the salon anyway why not go for the highlights? Do you have too much gray, does it take too long, money? The only thing I can ascertain from your post is that your concern is health & if that's it then I'd just try to go first thing in the morning so you're not breathing in as many fumes.
