Do I get a warm or cold mist humidifier? and why? whats the difference besides the temperature of the mist (i'm guessing on this one cause of the name!)
Just got a humidifier as well and went with the ultrasonic cool mist. After reading lots of reviews and recommendations both ways, the concensus is that by the time the mist reaches their face it's room temp no matter which kind you get. Gotta wash them both out regularly, so just make sure it's easy to clean. The heating element can pose a safety hazard if you're using it around kids, so that was one thing to keep in mind also.

Our pediatrician says cold mist. Warm mist can grow more bacteria and ultimately is more dangerous with the hot water once LO starts crawling.
The more I read about humidifiers, the more I consider not getting one (at least not to use all of the time). Both warm and cool are a breeding ground for bacteria (and mold) - you need to clean them every single day.
Re: warm or cold mist?
Agreed.
