Beta numbers. I'm just curious what everyone elses looks like? DH asked me since it's so high if it's twins haha. I said no I think it's just a healthy one. Last time it didn't get past double digits.
You can see mine in my siggy. I THINK I was 13 & 17DPO respectively. I have another tomorrow with my RE and then they will tell me what the next step is. I already have my first early u/s with my OB 2/24 so I know what my dates truly are then. For whatever reason, my RE won't tell me when they will do an early u/s!

BFP!!! 2/6/11 Super Bowl Sunday!
Expecting our first, a little boy, somewhere around 10/18/11!
2/7/11 beta #1 212.73
2/11/11 beta #2 1,633
2/15/11 beta #3 7,308 progesterone 12.69
Usually you only get them if you are high risk, or have MC in the past. It's a way to let you and your OB know the pregnancy is going well. If you aren't at risk... it's just assumed I guess that everything is a okay.
I BEGGED the nurse to check my betas when I went in for pregnancy confirmation the week before last (they just had me POAS... no bloodwork at all! grrr)
She told me they don't do that unless the patient has a history of miscarriages, etc... I was so mad! I bet if my doctor was available (she books out too far, this was a next-day appointment) she would have done bloodwork if I requested it.

I was only getting beta's done because I was referred to an RE for testing due to long cycles. I'm ready to ditch their office though - I think I will be discharged after tomorrow's b/w.

I was wondering the same thing, so thanks for the explanation!
I thought that I would have a third draw, but I guess my OB didn't feel the need to do any more since mine tripled in less than 48 hours. I know I will have lots of blood drawn at my appointment on Thursday, but I don't know if a beta is one of the routine labs.

The only reason my Dr. tested for Beta #'s was because the day before at 15 DPO I did a urine test for them and it came back negative (diluted urine sample taken at 3:30 p.m.). I demanded that the urine test was incorrect.
