to work or not to work...

I was due Saturday but still have an inside baby and haven't been feeling many contractions at all this weekend.  DH does not want me to go into work today but i don't want to waste any of my precious 6 weeks off before our LO gets here.  My job is not stressful and I can sit down most of the day so it's not strenious but I just can't decide if I want to go or not... I suppose since I'm already up I may as well go in at least for a little while.   Anyone else working right until their duedate/after their due date?

    Yep. I was really hoping I would have my baby by now and wouldn't have to go into work this week... but, here I go....

    I SAHM now but with my first I worked up until the last second. I felt like I would be bored at home and more anxious about his arrival. The morning I went into labor I was in early labor so I went into the office (it was a Monday) and left around 11 am to go to my OB appointment. As soon as I got to his office I started having hard contractions and my BP was really high so I was sent straight over to the hospital. I guess if I wouldn't have had that doctor's appointment I would have gone straight to the hospital from work!

    I had planned on taking a week to myself before my due date.  However MJ had plans of his own and I woke up with contractions on my last day of work.  I went to the office but ended up leaving right away because the ob on called felt I needed to get checked out.  If your job is not stressful, you are not running around etc I would still go in.  You can always leave if you start to feel something is not right.

    Yes! If my job didn't involve 12 hours on my feet, I would stil be there. I had to stop last week because I was in so much pain on my feet all day. I am SO BORED and feeling completely useless at home with nothing to do.

    This. I am home now because work was proving too strenuous and my boss sent me home (I have a really caring boss obviously) and told me not to come back until after I have my maternity leave. It was getting too strenuous but I feel useless at home, it stinks.

    im still working!! im due today..but see no sign of him coming. they gave me sat sun and today off just in case. and i work tomorrow and wed if he doesnt make his arrival but then ill be off. which kinda sucks for me only cuz if he doesnt come im losing hours..but then its ok cuz its getting a little harder for me to work [i work retail] so im up on my feet a lot. good luck!
