And it was like an all out, knees/stomach hit the ground, my coffee went flying everywhere, my soda broke open in my new tote bag and started spraying everywhere (phone, keys, planner - all covered). My hands are all scraped up, my khaki pants have black spots on the knees, thankfully they didn't rip. Ugh...What a way to start Valentines Day?! The sidewalk didn't even look slippery... It is pretty warm here (for WI) like almost 40 degrees, guess I had a false sense of security.
So after I fell and gathered myself/my stuff I walked back to my car and called my DH, the first thing he says to me "Better you fall now than this time last year." I'm like seriously, that's all you got? Not a "I'm sorry that happened to you." He was just like, "you know what I mean, you were pregnant last year and if you fell then that would have been bad."
Yah, I get it. Now I have to work all day with dirty pants.
Re: So I just fell on my way into work...
I hope you are ok. It was slick here this am too (MN)... Hope your day gets better from here!
My phone is still working, although I have no clue how, it was sitting in the bottom of my bag, just soaking in soda! I have to throw my planner out as soon as I write down all my important dates since all the pages are wet, NBD though.
Apparently that is a common thought, when I got into work and told some of my co-workers they too said the same thing my H did. So yah, I understand. I would not have wanted to fall when I was PG! That would be scarey as heck!
that's still a bummer though
Oh man! That sucks...I hope your day gets better!
I slipped on ice outside of work a few weeks ago and my H said the same thing. I did rip my pants, but he had a snow day and brought me a new pair, lol. Embarrassing!
Happy Birthday, little man. We love you so much!
My favorite money saving tip: I've earned more than $300 in gift cards (Amazon, Starbucks, Southwest!) using SwagBucks for internet searching - and you can too! It's FREE and EASY!
That was nice of him. Unfortunately I am stuck wearing mine all day.
