Moms of 2+ stroller recs?

Hello!

Our DD will be (almost) 3 when our second child will be born in July and we are looking for a double stroller...We are currently trying to decide between City Select Double stroller and the Bob Dualie...

Does anyone have either or these and could help me decide one way or the other? I love the versatility of the City Select, but I worry about the age difference in our children and whether or not it will work for my 3 year old?

Thank you so much in advance for your help!

  • I have heard mixed reviews on the bob double from it is the best to it is too big and a pain for an every day stroller.

DS1 was just 2 when DS2 was born.  He will be 3 in a few weeks and I still use my baby jogger select for all outings.  I like having a tandem. Really nice for busy places like the fair and zoo.   They both love that they can face each other.  I keep DS1 in the lower seat and even with facing each other he can get in and out if he wants or I can strap him in if I need it.  It is really easy to use and light for a double.  I pop the seats off to store.  It takes just a few seconds to take them on and off.  If I only have DS2 I have him face me and he loves that too.

  • I have a city mini double.  My 3 yr old is a bit tall for it, but she hasn't tolerated the stroller in about a year.  I love the citymini- easy to fold, smaller, steers very well, but I hate pushing that big thing around and end up just wearing both my twins and holding DD#1's hand when we go out.

If I'd not had twins, but only one baby, I never would have bought a double stroller unless the littler one didn't like being worn.  BUT I hate strollers-  DD had never been in a a stroller until 19 months when the twins were born, so the double is just a beast, in my eyes!  Does the Bob have a sit and stand option,  if so, that would be the only way I'd do it again.

  • Go with Phil & Ted's!  We have the Dash and it's awesome - can be a single or double and can fit ANYWHERE (one kind of sits "on top" of the other).  I lovvvvvvethat stroller.  Mine are 2.5 years apart and it's been wonderful.  Both of my kids love it.

This is what we have also.  I really like it as well.

  • i would get the phil & teds or the BJ City Select.  I used to have the P&T and loved it- but got rid of it b/c its not great for twins.

the select is awesome - i use it every day with the twins.

both are great b/c can be used as a single or double- and you won't need a stroller for your older child for long.

  • We love the BJ City Select.
