1HT bc of pumping lol so I can't review this thoroughly as I did with the Orbit haha
We don't put DD in it very often because the only times, we think of putting her in it is when she's having sleeping issues. Otherwise, we just play with her straight up (she's only up for an hour or so between naps, really good kid). When she has her days, it does help. I think the biggest thing for her is the white noise, she just passes out with the white noise. It has 3 recline position and I've always used it at the lowest setting for her as a newborn. I give her the paci and then she looks up at the toys lol, and just passes out. Her fave settings are the tree and rocking? I can't remember. We like the recline feature, the fact that you can adjust the speed, the mp3 connection capability, white noise feature built in and also that it has a selection of sounds to go with the music, small footprint, and the fabric is nice and soft, so you don't have to worry about flat head syndrome. The insert fabric is also zipped in and easy to clean, we've only cleaned it once when we first set it up. Customer service is super nice, they gave me free pink inserts for the Mamaroo since the store (Giggle) we registered at only carried orange.
What I don't like is that there is really no toy bar (my hubby loves the hanging cushion toys though bc he said it's what babies likes, patterns etc, she always looks at it so maybe he's right. For me, I like to see baby stuff with actual toys lol). I guess with the toy bar issue, since we don't use it exclusively as a sleeping aid, I just wanted something there for her to play with if I just want to place her there for a few hours to free up my hands. I'm assuming in a few weeks, she won't be interested in pattterns anymore, but I don't know, but I do know I would have been annoyed if I did use it for sleeping and toys were there distracting her, so you can't win here haha. There are no head positioning cushions and I'm guessing bc a big part of it is markerted for sleeping, it's just a safety feature, but I always have to use rolled blankets. I just really wish it had inserts or something, I mean I wouldn't leave her in there all by herself to worry about the cushions suffocating her. She was always slouching to the sides even in the most reclined position (she sleeps on the side of her head normally).
PS. Join the 4 Moms website now if you want one, they are always giving away Mamaroos haha And I LOVE love their Cleanwater bath tub, and they are getting a new stroller called the Origami stroller, looks prettttty nice (hubby will kill me for wanting another stroller, but I just like looking around for if we ever get a kiddo #2 haha). I am generally impressed with 4Moms.
Pro: Small footprint (I didn't want one of the huge FP swings), white noise, can hook up MP3 player.
Cons: DD didn't really care for it! She'd stay in it for 10 min max...maybe 15...but I don't think she really liked the slouchy position (we kept it on the lowest setting).
If you lived in Austin, I would sell you mine, she's been in it all of 3 times. She didn't care for it, she needed more active motion and/or more variation than it offered but she also barely tolerates her regular swing or the bouncy chair.
