So we got the notice this week that as of 3/1 DD will be moving up from the Hummingbird (Young Infant) to the Wren (Older Infant) room at daycare. YAY!
I have to say, even though I told the daycare that I wanted them to promote her when she was ready, not based on chronological age it was still a little hard when several of the younger kids were promoted to the big kids room ahead of DD.
Now that it is time to move her up, I am a little sad. DD has such a great relationship with her teachers. At least they are all together for an hour in the morning so she'll still get to see her "old" teachers.
Fish don't fry in the kitchen.
Beans don't burn on the grill.
Took a whole lotta tryin'
just to get up that hill...

I remember when she moved up from the young to older infants room and they had the little tables where they all ate together instead of at litlte indivdual high chairs and it made me so emotional. Now she's in the 2s room and in the early mornign she's in the older room so she eats her breakfast w/ the 3 and 4 yo and that freaks me out. Ella loves it, she just watches all the older kids.
