Did you get ill before your BFP? (sore throat, flu, etc.)

Just curious... did you get ill before your BFP (or around that time)? I've read this is pretty common because of your body lowering its immune system to protect the baby from being considered an invader. (ETA: I don't remember having this problem in my pregnancy with my DD.)

Yes, I had chills and aches for 3 days, with no fever before I tested. It was the strangest thing, but I felt like crap. Then I got the BFP, then a sinus infection.

I did. I had some kind of achy body, lung congestion, knock-me-on-my-butt-sleep-for-2-days things from about 8-10dpo. I still have the tiniest cough left from it that I can't get rid of. Also, I got my BFP on 14 dpo and a few days before I got it, my nose got stuffy and lips got chapped and those haven't gone away either. LOL

Before my BFP I felt like I was starting to get a cold (stuffy and runny nose) but the cold never actually came. I have had the stuffy nose since my 2ww and it hasn't gone away yet.

yup, thought I was coming down with a sinus infection due to allergies. Stuffed myself full of Sudafed for the weekend, then got the BFP on Wednesday!!

I was real congested and my face and eyes felt swollen when I would first wake up for three days or so before my BFP.

I had a runny nose... it wouldn't stop and I didn't put two and two together until after my BFP.

I had developed a nasal congestion at 5dpo, four days before my BFP. I'm still pretty congested but it's not as bad as before.

I also had a cold/congestion when I tested positive. And have had another bout of cold/congestion since then too.

Weird..I definitely did. I was so sick I went to the Dr and she put me on a Zpac for my cough. I felt really really sick...not sure if it was the flu or just an upper respiratory infection - but I did have a fever along with it!

I'm surprised that so many people replied. I guess I'll tell you if I'll be adding myself to this list. I currently have strep throat and I almost NEVER get sick with anything worse than a mild sore throat, which would be surprising to you if you saw the house I grew up in... also, I'm a college student and mono goes through the school at least once a year. We'll see. This illness made me take a step back and wonder what the heck was going on. We certainly want to be pregnant, but I didn't expect to actively TTC for two more months.

I did. I actually thought I had a sinus infection about a week before ovulation and got a antihistamine shot (they insisted I have allergies when I never have...). I'm starting to think the shot helped get the BFP. Since BFP I've had a permanent cold (runny nose, etc.).
