Baby Shower Ideas in Metro Detroit

I am looking for venue ideas to have my baby shower- everyone who's planning my shower is having a hard time finding a place that is nice but affordable and allows you to bring your own food (family pot luck). It was going to be at my apartment complex's club house but its a 500 deposit plus 200/hr for a min of 3 hrs, so by the time you factor in food, prizes, decorations, and etc. you're looking at at least $1000 for a baby shower which I think is a little to high.  They would like for it to be in the Metro Detroit area since that is where the majority of family/friends reside the are trying to have it Mid March. Thanks in advance!!!

    How about those American Legions?  I know the one on Groesbeck has a hall that you can rent for your own use.

    There is a place in Washington, MI called Our House you may want to check.  I don't know what area you are in.  A friend had her shower there-it was nice!

    I'm not sure of the pricing at the Rochester Community House, but I know you can bring your own food or have it catered.  I think the view is pretty too :)
