IL vent to end all IL vents

So I had surgery on friday to remove a cyst from my spine. We asked MIL and FIL to take DD in the AM for a few hours so that I could rest and DH could go into work for a few hours and then come home and take over.

I pack the diaperbag for a few hours and send them on their way.

One pm rolls around DH said Oh mom and dad are on their way back I say Ok and go about lying on my face... three, four, five pm roll around and nothing. 6:30pm no one is answering their phones and I am getting worried DH finally gets a hold of FIL who is LAUGHING oh haha we kidnapped your baby. They were over at my SIL's house so she could see the baby WITH OUT US (bad blood with me and SIL for YEARS) So I tell them to come home with her NOW. They knew that wasnt ok with me and that they were only supposed to be gone for a few hours. THEY DIDNT EVEN CALL TO TELL ME WHERE THEY WERE!

So I get my stitched butt in my car and go get DD. DH is livid and says we will deal with them when they get back. I dont want to wait I go pick her up and MIL starts SCREAMING at me that I am ungreatful and a horrible person and I need to get over my beef with my SIL because Evie needs her cousins. That she would never have hurt my baby and that I hate her.

I am SO done with my IL's every time we try to give them a chance they go over the line and I just dont think things are ever going to change...

    I think I would have punched MIL in the face for all that mess.

    But that's just me.

    Holy Sh*t. I would be PISSED! That is SO not okay!! They purposely did that knowing you were gonna be out of commission and couldn't do much about it. Kudos to you for not letting them bully you! Your MIL is obviously unstable and not fit to care for your LO- I wouldn't trust her anymore.

    I hope DH is on your side. I couldn't tell if you meant he was livid at them or livid at you for wanting to drive.

    Hes more of a peace maker and Im more of a live wire so he wanted to wait until they brought her home to deal with it and I wasnt going to wait. But he was the one who talked to FIL and wanted them home so we were on the same page I just think he wanted to WAIT where as I felt they needed to take me seriously

    Yea because you know they wouldn't have packed up and came right home, they would have dragged their feet just to stick it to ya.

    Sure it's nice to have cousins and all but I don't think your LO's cousins are that in need of her at this point in her life.  No excuse.  Tell your MIL if she's so intent on getting your and SIL to reconcile then going behind you back with your DD is not the way to do it.  Hope you calm down soon enough to relax tonight.  Feel better!
