Hi All!
Well I'll admit I'm about 2 minutes pregnant, but I had been considering prenatal yoga before the wheels came off of my previous pregnancy. Wondering if anyone is going to prenatal yoga at Yoga Life, Stillpoint or Yoga Garden or another studio? And if not, would you be interested in going together? I have dabbled in yoga in the past, but I'm a little nervous to show up at a class by myself (such a wimp!). Thought it might be a fun way to get flexible and meet other local pg ladies. Let me know if you are interested. ![]()
Oh and perhaps a little intro to the board. I'm a 28 y.o. labor and delivery nurse living in Devon with my hubby and kitties. Hoping to deliver our first at the Bryn Mawr Birth Center in October!! *fingers crossed*
Re: Prenatal yoga near main line, anyone?
First of all, congrats on the pregnancy. I was all gung ho to start going when I broke my foot 3 weeks ago! When the foot is ready, I definitely want to start going. When doing research, this is what I found.
Yoga on Main in Manayunk, Yoga Garden in Narberth, Ryah in Conshy, and Focus Fitness all have classes on different days.
lol @ two minutes.
I did prenatal yoga at Still point. (and i do regular yoga there now) and i really liked it.
Don't worry about being a wimp- they are RIDICULOUSLY friendly there and very laid back.
Congrats on your pregnancy.
I go to East Eagle Yoga in Havertown and love it. The prenatal class is Sundays at 10:30 AM. It's a small, easy-going class and beginner friendly:)
Hi Esperence715
I notice that you are considering 'The Birth Center' at Bryn Mawr. I live in KOP and am very interested in this place. My due date is Oct 4. Did you get a chance to visit the place and talk to the OB/GYNs and midwives there? Can you please share your experience?
I found out just yesterday that I am about 7 weeks pregnant (from LMP) and have to pick a OB/GYN. Most people suggest that many of the popular doctors are not very supportive of natural birthing. I have to make a decision soon and pick a practice. Can you please share any information you may have on the Birth Center? That may help me to convince my DH who feels more comfortable with a hospital setting.
Thanks very much and all the very best to you!
