Ovulating Early on Clomid?

I took Clomid CD 5-9 this month, had a negative OPK yesterday and a positive today. Has anyone ovulated this early on Clomid? I've read about getting false positives if you test too early, but since it was negative yesterday hoping it's a go! I have an ultrasound on Monday so I guess I'll know for sure then.

    Yes, it could be a true surge. If you can, have sex tonight just in case you ovulate tomorrow or Monday before you go in for the ultrasound. GL!

    I'm just beginning my second cycle on Clomid, but I O'ed on CD 16. I don't think CD 12 sounds too early though so happy BDing

    I am in my 3rd month of taking Clomid and I have actually found myself to be ovulating 2 days later than usual, and that my cycle has gone from a very regular 28 day cycle (my whole life) to a 30 day cycle.  Imagine my frustration the first month... 2 days late, desperately hoping for good news, then AF shows up... on New Years Day.  What a way to start the new year.
