Back-Cramps?

So I'm sure it's been asked a plenty, but have any of you had extremely bad back-aches--almost menstrual cramp-like, but only in your back?  I've had them TERRIBLE since last night and I'm making poor DH massage me often.  They come and go, but not contraction-like, sort of constant, but stronger at certain times.  

Any other back-crampy ladies out there?  

Does this mean anything is happening? Please say yes (even if just to humor me), I don't want the pain to mean nothing.  At least a little dilation; C'mon!.

    It could be the start of things.

     I have had bad menstral like cramping in my back since 35.5 weeks and it has done nothing, but hurt. Hopefully it's something for you and not just an annoyance like it is for me.

    May I add that they are like eye-watering bad at times (worse than the regular lower back-ache I've had all through pregnancy)

    Thanks for sharing--I've had them for awhile too (weeks), but just last night they started getting extremely painful.  

    Anyway, I hope it's something too....and hope your pain eases up!

    My contractions start out as lower back pain then wrap around the front. It's possible it is some back labor.

    Thanks all!

    Yeah, I was wondering if this is what back labor felt like, but I thought (could be wrong) that back labor only happened when LO was sunny-side-up and supposedly our little man is facing my back.  

    Who knows, maybe he's turned (or maybe I'm wrong) or maybe I'm just having random horribly crappy pain!

    I think it can happen even if LO is OA like he should be. I for sure get back pains but thats because my stubborn man is OP (sunny side up) because he likes to face the action apparently. I hope this is the start of something for you!
