Nursing with a SNS?

Has anyone ever had to use a SNS to nurse?  DS and I have been struggling since Wednesday with nursing.  We saw a LC at the hospital yesterday and she said that he is fiesty & impatient, so he gets really upset while nursing.  This is causing my supply to be low and making the situation worse!

We are using a SNS all weekend to hopefully give him some instant gratification so he will keep sucking and stimulate my production.  Has anyone used one before and did it fix the problem?  This is killing me emotionally because I want to be able to EBF and not need to supplement with formula (although we have had to every once in a while since we're struggling).

    My step dads sister had to do this with her twins because her supply was running low. She said it completely worked and saved her supply! She also pumped to keep thing going.

    We've done it both at the breast and finger feeding to help Lena gain weight and flush out her jaundice. It turns out that they don't believe I have a supply issue, but she still has some weight issues. We now supplement with bottles every other feed and most of them are breastmilk, but she still gets formula in some of them.

    I am currently using an SNS as I have major supply issues. It has been 1 week since having Tyler and today was the first day I got anything at all, almost 1 oz woo hoo! Clearly not enough when he is taking 2 oz at a feeding every 3 hours. The SNS has been great so far. I feel like he gets the nutrition he needs and I get the stimulation from him that I need. I was borderline about to give up until I got something finally today. I will continue to use it at every feeding until I am able to build up my supply. It is really hard right now because he is in the NICU and I am only making it to 2 feedings a day and trying to pump every 2-3 hours at home.  I feel like my body is going there is no baby here why do you need this milk? Hopefully my supply will continue to build. I am taking fenugreek and bought some Mother's Milk Tea as well...although it tastes kind of gross so I havent been drinking it as I should.

    You're right. Its basically a little feeding tube I tape onto my boob. When he nurses, he gets formula or pumped BM from the tube as well as whatever I can give him.
