I lost my MP at 5am Thursday morning and started to have contractions afterwards so I had a feeling that it wasn't going to be long before I had DD. Thursday had contractions on and off all day. Nothing. Friday started off the same- irregular contractions. Started to have them again around 12:50pm. I called MH and told him that in the past 30mins I had 3 and that I just wanted to let him know and would call if I continued to have them. I layed down to rest/nap. Had a contraction and felt a pop. I jumped up and felt some fluid so I ran to the bathroom. Clear fluid on my panty liner and underwear. I called MH to tell him to come home. He got home ran upstairs to get DS up from his nap and at that point my contractions were now at 2-3mins apart. It took us about 45mins to get to the hospital when it shoudl have only taken 25-30mins. We headed straight up to L&D. I said I had to pee. Went to the bathroom and immediately had the urge to push to they just ran me into a room. MH helped strip me down. Doc checked me, I was at 6cm. Had another contraction and my water ruptured all over the bed. At that point the doc checked me again- 7cm and I said that I HAD to push.
We never got to check in. I didn;t get my IV or epidural. I didn;t get any meds for my GBS. I ended up having to have DD med free. We got to the hospital at 3:05pm and I had DD at 3:19pm. I was pretty much in shock after pushing her out. I did have a second degree tear that was stitched up, but I will say that I do not feel like I just had a baby. I feel perfectly fine. Pretty much no discomfort other then when DD nurses and I start to cramp up a little.
