Anyone know anything about Karyotypes and TTC? We got our results back today and my karyotype was normal but DH's was abnormal. Meeting with RE isn't for a couple of weeks. Just wanted to see if anyone could point me in the right direction of some good info about what this means for us and how to proceed with IVF (PGD is what I am assuming). I am not having good luck with Google thus far.
So now to run down the list of crap that sucks and will prevent us from having our own child; PCOS, hydrosalpinx, toxic fluid leaking from tubes, annovulation, APS (blood clotting disorder), low progesterone, and F'ed up genetics. Really? What next? BRING IT! I think we have just about every diagnosis possible. FML.
ETA: On a brighter note, we have our first foster/adoption class tomorrow night. Should be a good time. Looking forward to it.

Sh!t. I'm sorry it's more bad news. I do think PGD would be the approach. It certainly doesn't mean you're doomed, though.
I hope the adoption class goes well. Glad to see you moving forward toward good things.
TICKER WARNING
I'm not sure the nature of the abnormality but I've been there. The abnormality for me was a balanced translocation which basically translated into a 50% m/c risk with each pregnancy (without PGD).
You'll have a meeting with a genetic counsellor that will give you the run down. My guess from your history is your heading towards IVF with PGD. I don't have any great sites but feel free to PM me.
*hugs* Sorry it keep piling on.
I hope your foster/adoption class goes well tonight.

Good luck with your foster/adopt meeting.
I wish I could help you out with the abnormal karyotype, but I know nothing. Sorry.
Good luck at your foster/adoption class! You'll have to let me know how it goes.
