Surprise for both. I guess I wasn't really that smart about not getting pregnant but I'm getting up there and I didn't want to be a really old mom (not knocking those that are a little older).

Kendall was planned but Sydney was a surprise. I wasn't on BC but had very regular periods. We would use condoms around the time of O. Guess that didn't work too well!
Planned. I went off birth control in May and when I didn't get my first period on time I took a test and it was positive. Went to the doc and he said that I wasn't pregnant anymore so it was a "chemical pregnancy". After that we decided to wait until AF actually showed up to start trying. Once AF made an appearance we conceived the first month we actually started trying to get pregnant.
My older son was a surprise but I was only 20 years old and wasn't great about using protection.
My LO was planned, we got pregnant the first month we tried. I was worried that it would take a while to conceive since I'm in my thirties now and have very irregular periods but luckily I got pregnant easily!

Planned--we talked about it and decided to stop using birth control and see what happened. I got pregnant right away, which I didn't expect. I'd never had regular periods and I always thought that might make it difficult to conceive--nope!
This! I missed my 1st period post ttc & the test was negative... But I told dh it was wrong & I knew I was pregnant. Took 2 tests 2 days later, both positive BC fails scare the crap out of me though. I don't even want to think about getting pregnant again until Fall at the very earliest. I'd wait longer if I wasn't so hooked on the idea of our Los being close in age.
Re: Planned/surprise
#1 Planned, #2 Surprise, #3 Surprise, #4 Surprise, #5 Planned, #6 Planned.
With #2 and #3 they were BC fail. with #4 we were told we probably couldn't get pregnant on our own and they were wrong

The Chaos of Six!
a planned surprise?
we were entertaining the idea of having a baby, i went off bc, pregnant a few weeks later.
everyone in my family has had problems ttc, so i thought it would take waaaay longer.

Planned. Both times. I'm a charter and a bit obsessive that way.
With DD2, planned/lucky to the point of, "hmmm, a March baby would be really nice" and she was born March 17th.
