Momma and Baby Running group?

Hello Minneapolis ladies! I have posted a few other times on other boards (the 3-6 month board as well as the Health & Exercise board), but never on this board. I am wondering, is there a running group in the area for mommas and babies? I know in my home state, I would often see a group of mothers running and most had their babies in jogging strollers - is there anything like that in the Twin Cities? If not, would anyone be interested in doing this? Can you tell I am thinking Spring?!

I don't know if one exists right now, but I'd be interested! I know of at least one other mom who might be too. Although after not being able to run past 13 weeks in my pregnancy and now having a baby that keeps me busy, I'm not a very good runner anymore. Hopefully there's a slow group.

And I can't wait for spring!

What a neat idea! I might be interested, we have a BOB and can't wait to run with it! Although, I haven't run more than a couple miles since before I was pregnant, I'd have to ease back into it!

I am so excited that you ladies might be interested in starting a little group!! I would love to get back into some sort of running shape, so at the beginning it might be a slow jog/ walk/ slow jog for me. Since it's still cold and gross out, maybe we could meet inside for some speed walking/ testing of the jogging strollers? I have heard the MOA opens early for walkers - would anyone be interested in meeting to walk and think about spring runs?

I think this is a great idea. I am still running and plan to continue to during this pregnancy. It would be a lot of fun to meet up for walking while we are still confined to the indoors and def look forward to meeting up once it gets warmer. Where is everyone from? I am from the Mtka area.

I'm up in Blaine but would never pass up the need to go to the MOA!! I wouldn't be able to make it this Sunday, but with a little more notice, I could make it work.

I have heard the MOA opens early for walkers - would anyone be interested in meeting to walk and think about spring runs?

I haven't run in, oh 5 years, but I would def be up for walking or walk/jog intervals.

Ridgedale also opens early for walkers. It's not as big, of course, but might be an option if more people are on this side of town.

Ridgedale works great for me too! For anyone that would like to meet tomorrow, I will plan on being at Ridgedale (Sunday) at noon, outside of Sears on the first level - I will be wearing a turquoise puffy vest and of course, my baby will be there in a jogging stroller!! I look forward to hopefully meeting some of you tomorrow and for those ladies that can't make it, I will post a note tomorrow night about meeting next weekend!

I live super close to Ridgedale, but tomorrow wont work unfortunately. With a little planning in advance I can for sure make it work. I look forward to meeting you guys and I cant wait to eventually get outside with the jogging strollers!! Keep us updated on the next meeting time.
