Lost my mucus plug...(a little TMI)

I've noticed bits of mucus coming out over the past few days when I wiped....this morning the first few times I peed I saw the TINIEST bit of pink on the tp. Then about an hour ago a big glob of brown mucus came out!

AHH! It kinda freaked me out! I just did a TON of Googling and read that losing  your mucus plug can mean you're going into labor in 2 hours or 2 weeks, or even longer than that. So I know this could be fine.

I called my doctor and had to talk to the receptionist, but she went and asked the doctor and she came back and said "The doctor said that's just your mucus plus and it's fine." I was like "It's fine?" And she said yes.

Ooook! I haven't had my cervix checked in 2ish weeks, though I had a NST yesterday. I had 3 contractions in 30 mins during the NST which is normal for me, I've had a ton of contractions since 22 weeks. So the doctors always just tell me if they get more painful to call.

This is getting long winded but anyway, my next OB appointment is Wednesday and I really hope everything stays calm until then!

    I lost part of my mucus plug around 22 or 23 weeks.  I don't remember anymore, but my Dr. wasn't concerned.  You can walk around for a while with out it.  Stay in there a few more weeks babies!

    Why? Losing your MP means nothing. It can even regenerate. You still have the amniotic sac to protect the baby.

     

     OMG Kdodge, time for you to have that baby! :) So excited for you!

    I've read the mucous plug can regenerate so I'm hoping that's the case for you! Hang in there!

    I'm almost 32 weeks. I lost some of my mucus plug last night. Noticed the jello like goo when I wiped (sorry for the TMI). My OB says if I'm not having contractions or have red discharge then I should not worry. If anything concerns me than to come see her before my next apt, which is next Tuesday, but to relax and wait till then so she can check me, and she also said "it's fine." Hope this helps.
