What's up with all these accidents!? grrrrrr!

Jack has been PT since last June. He does great, never has accidents. In fact, about 6 weeks ago, we stopped putting him in diapers at night because he woke up dry and or woke us up to pee.

That is until now....The last 3 nights he has woken up soaked. Ihave washed his sheets 3 days in a row.

Today, while sitting 2 ft from the bathroom, he peed in his pants watching Nemo.

What is going on? Does this happen sometimes? Some kind of growth spurt?

He hasn;t gotten in trouble yet for the night pee's. But just now I took his pirate hat and made him go to time out for peeing on the couch.

Uggg... just frustrated.

  • SS2 sometimes couldn't bother to stop what he was doing to take the time to go to the bathroom.

  • Justin just did this at our neighbor's Super Bowl party last weekend.  Couldn't be bothered to take time out to go pee, even though he earlier in the evening had peed once, and then did a #2 in their potty a little later.  Annoying.  But I think totally normal.

Overnight wetting is a completely different story..........he may have just been sleeping REALLY heavily and didn't wake.  I hate changing sheets so I feel your pain.

  • Lucas just did this this morning right before we were leaving. He was just playing and peed all over the place. I made him take off his own clothes and take it into the laundry room  as punishment Smile

  • I hope it is short-lived for you.  Although we are not 100% potty trained yet, Grif is just about 100% trained for pee.  we went through a week of him peeing all over the place.  Not like him at all, but it was only a few days.

  • DS does this every once in awhile and it is usually when he is very distracted now.  We have him pee before the activities that i feel he will get distracted.  We also remind him that I will have to put a baby diaper on him, LOL, and he HATES that!  Good luck!  It is normal to have some accidents.  We also don't use pull ups or diapers at night but when he wet the bed two nights in a row and I put him in a pull up again, he kept peeing inthe pull up so we took it off and we stay dry more often.  So I would say stick with it right now and I thin kit is  appropriate to take things away at least for a little while or sit in time out for daytime accidents.  Hang in there :)
