So I am getting ready to put things in my nursery...we are almost finished painting. I would love to hear about your nursery! The colors, the themes, all that fun stuff! And, of course, your inspiration.
We are naming our son Jude. And I am doing a sort of mod nursery. Light grey with dark wood furniture and a yellow shelf and lamp. Yellow is the main color accent. But I am also using red and green...more primary colors...in fun mod prints. I can't wait to get a print from Etsy that has the words to "Hey Jude," which will be one piece of wall art.
As for a theme, I like elephants but don't want to go overboard. We're going for a more eclectic look. So I may just collect a few elephants. One is from my husband's nursery when he was little. It's made of wood. And one tiny elephant my sister brought me (from Japan).
Ok, your turn!

Well, the furniture I ordered 16 weeks ago still has not arrived, so not much is done.
We have painted the walls blue, and the curtains and white/pink chandelier are still there from DD. We chose the Hayley bedding set from PBK and our furniture is the white Munire Bristol set. My main accent color is light pink since we did blue walls.
I don't know how to post pics on here but our little girl's nursery is pink, black and white. We have this bedding-

I love the black and white damask pattern. We have a few of the coordinating accessories too and the window treatments. The crib wall is grey with a metallic glaze and we have stainless steel stars in different sizes randomly hung on the wall (we have a friend that does custom metal work). The other walls are a medium pink.
We also had custom black furniture made. I love it
Our nursery is pretty darn girly but maybe you can get some kind of inspiration.

We really don't have anything done in the nursery at all yet. My mom just ordered the furniture as far as the crib and dresser goes. But we will painting the walls blue and this is the bedding we picked out.

Our inspiration was the fact that I love Purple and Butterflies, so we built the theme of the room around the bedding we chose (from Target) We did it on a decent budget I would say.
Paint was from Wal-Mart - about $60
Furniture from Target - Crib $200 on sale Changing Table $110 on sale Glider was a gift.
Bedding and Accessories - probably another couple hundred. I wasnt keeping close tabs on expenses. But I am a bargain shopper and didn't really go overboard with super expensive stuff (IMO) 99% of everything in the room was from Target.
I think I am safe in saying we did the room for WELL UNDER $1,000 but probably closer to $500-$800.
This is our nursery. It's not completely finished yet since we are sewing everything ourselves but it'll look just like this
