Didn't lose weight BFing

The weight post below reminded me how I haven't lost ANY weight thanks to BF'ing DS or DD.  I'm bitter.  Both kids are champion nursers too so you think I would have.  In fact, I gained weight w/DS while nursing.

Not fair!

    Yeah it's a lie. I just posted about this on the SAHM board. It's under "grrrr breastfeeding and weight loss. Yeah right"

    Well you're typically gonna hold onto a few extra pounds when breastfeeding but you do burn something like twenty calories for every ounce of milk you produce.  That being said a lot of people I know who breastfeed were a lot hungrier so I think most end up eating what they're burning off! Either way, good for you it's great for your babies and your body!

    That was me, I was hungry ALL THE TIME.

    Same here. If I did lose any weight, it quickly came back when I weaned DD. Boo hiss!

    If I diet or try to loose weight while BF'ing my supply tanks.

    I had to wait until I weaned with both of them (but ended up pregnant right after weaning #1).

    Oh well.....  sometimes as a Mom my needs just have to wait until the needs of the kids are met.

    It came off after weaning!! 

    Our IF journey: 1 m/c, 1 IVF with only 3 eggs retrieved yielding Dylan and a lost twin, 1 shocker unmedicated BFP resulting in Jace, 3 more unmedicated pregnancies ending in more losses.
    Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.

    I lost weight after I was done breastfeeding. . I just quit breesfedding for  my 1 year old when she was ten months. I have lost 15 lbs in the last two months. When I was breesfeeding I had to eat all the time or I would feal like my stomach would eat it self. I don't eat as much now because I am not hungrey 24/7 any more. The weight just came off.

    Yes I know what you mean about being soooo hungry. Your post makes me happy. My goal is to BF till 8 months. Almost there.
