I love that facebook keeps me in contact with family and friends that I don't get to see/talk to very much, but sometimes I seriously consider deleting my account. I'm fed up with people using it as their own public sob story! It's one thing to post about a bad day every now and again, but if every post is about how sick, tired, sad, or miserable you are do you honestly think people enjoy reading it?? Maybe if you adopted a more positive attitude, life wouldn't be so bad! The whole facebook world doesn't need to know every time you have a cold, or an ache or pain! Stop complaining about it on facebook, and go take some medicine! And if you just got into a relationship with someone, please do not post about how much you "love" them after 2.5 days. This is not the third grade. And finally, if it's not something that you want the world to know or that you want people asking you about, then don't post it. You can't just put something out there and then get offended when someone talks to you about it. Putting something on facebook is like taking out your own announcement space in the newspaper. People WILL read it and people WILL talk about it. If you want it private, keep it that way!
Ughhhhh I wish LIFE came with an 'unfriend' button!
End vent.
Re: Vent about Facebook! (Obviously NTTGPR)
Ugh. I agree. I was "friends" with a girl from high school who was recently married. Her posts went something like this. "My DH is the most amazing man ever!!!" "Why is my DH so mean??" "My DH doesn't care and doesn't understand me." "I'm the luckiest girl in the world!! I DH!!!!"
 DH!!!!"
I finally unfriended her because her bipolar status messages annoyed the crap out of me.
::lurking:::
A high school friend of mine had her status as "Uh....it's a status not a diary" the day. I seriously LOLed.
