Rec your non-employee dental insurance!

I'm looking into getting dental insurance for DH and Camy. So far I've checked out BCBS, but wanted to get some opinions first!

Re: Rec your non-employee dental insurance!

  • I happen to have employee dental coverage but we decided to not get coverage for Lynda.  We called the dentist and asked what the routine procedures were and their costs.  We even wound up having an emergency dental visit and it was still more cost effective to not have insurance and just pay out of pocket.  Just another option.

Really?! Yeah, I guess it doesn't surprise me. DH had it with his previous employer and we still paid a ton when he needed work done. Plus I've heard it's really not worth it.
