Have you, or will you, move up to level 3 bottle nipples? DS hasn't been finishing his bottles lately and just plays with them and it seems like that is what he did before we went to level 2. But I'm nervous the level 3 may be too fast compared to the breast?

We are still on Level 1 nipples, and LO is finishing off all her bottles....

I still use level 1. I don't want LO to develop a bottle preference.

Hhmmm I must be the wierd one then! Haha I know there are BF mommas out there who have switched to level 2, and maybe even 3. I thought I saw a few ladies mention it a few days ago. Thankfully DS has done great between level 2 and the breast. Now I'm just nervous about 3...hhhmmm.

If he isn't finishing the bottles he may just be full since he is now doing solids as well. You may just want to lower the amount of bm you are putting in each bottle a bit and see if that helps. DD went from taking a full 8 oz bottle to now about 6 1/2 each feeding because of the solids she is now eatting. We do use medium flow nipples but that was me bowing to pressure from our DC to do so. (stupid move in retrospect).

We just switched to a level 2. I have overactive letdown and a fast flow, so switching her now makes her bottles more like nursing vs. taking her 40min to eat 4oz. Now it takes her about 10-15min, which, is how long it takes her to nurse.

We're also still on level 1. That speed seems to work well for him I think, and he always finishes his botles. It takes him longer than nursing, but the daycare teachers haven't said anything about it taking too long.
