I went in to the Dr. yesterday, to the hear the heartbeat of our little bean (yesterday i was 7 wks 2 days) Thank God there was a heartbeat of 129 bpm.. It was music to my ears.. But the concerning news was, the Sono tech asked if i had been spotting and i told her no, and asked her why and she said you have a subchorionic hemmorhage areound the sac.., The Dr. confirmed this. She said it was not very big on 2cm. She said it should absorb into itself. She didnt seem to concerned. I go in on the 25th of Feb for a repeat sono to see about the hemmorhage. Needless to say I am scared to death, I had to previous miscarriges, but I never once heard a heartbeat on either on of those. Now i have heard a heartbeat with this one. Does anyone know anything about the subchorioic hemmorhage?

I was diagnosed with one at 6 weeks and actually had a HUGE gush of blood. My body did not absorb it which it typical with most. By week 8 it had totally resolved itself and did no harm to the baby.

You should be just fine!

They are pretty common. I had one on my first ultrasound and this week when we went it it looked liked it was going away. Most of the time people's bodies either reabsorb them or they pop and people will bleed - sometimes gush. They can heighten the possibility of a miscarriage, but most of the time they reabsorb or pop with no issues. It could be completely gone when you go back in two weeks.

I had one last pg - I had spotting/bleeding throughout most of first tri, starting around 6 weeks or so. By the time I was out of first tri it had disappeared and never caused any issues beyond the spotting. GL!

I have one, but they said that it is very common and it almost always fixes itself if it is small. The nurse said that she actually wished they didn't include that in the u/s report because it causes unnecessary concern and panic, when it really isn't a big issue.

I had this with DS. I had no spotting or cramping. There was no indication that anything was amiss. I went to the dating u/s and the tech and dr told me that baby looked great, they saw the heartbeat, etc, but I had a minor bleed. They said it is common in 1st tri and most likely would resolve itself. They said the fact that I had no signs of it was good but not to be surprised if I did have some spotting. They gave me a ton of reassuring information, but I still worried. They told me to take it easy just to be safe (not as intense of workouts, no heavy lifting, etc) and to come back in 2 weeks for a follow-up u/s. The follow-up u/s showed the bleed was gone and DS was still growing and doing great. He is now 19 months old.

I had my first US on 7w2d and had a SCH too!! When I read your post I almost thought I was reading something I wrote and forgot about! lol! I asked my OB about it and she said it was normal and she was not concerned. I think mine was measured a little smaller than yours, but not by much, and it's right next to baby and my Dr. wasn't worried about it and she said I shouldn't worry about it either. I googled it and got freaked out, but if the doctor isn't worried then I decided I'm not going to either. Good luck! I'm sure it'll be just fine. H&H 9 months!

At 6wks I have one huge gush of of blooad, went in the next day and the u/s showed a very large SH. My bleeding stopped before I got to the appt. Went back the next week for another u/s and my body had absorbed the entire thing. Mine was kind of next toand slightly under the sac. I was told to stop taking the baby asprin that I had been taking for the IVF.

I am happy to see most people didnt have any major issues with it. Unfortunatly, I am on the other side of the road at this point.

I had my first gush of blood at 6 weeks, Dr told me expect to miscarry but I didnt. I was diagnosed with the hematoma. At 6.5 weeks, I had another gush of blood and stopped working at that time to wait and see what would happen. I had a full period for the next 5 weeks. At 11.5 weeks, I had a major bleed out with a large clot (5 cm) and several smaller clots. OB put me on bed rest and now I'm seeing a high risk Dr. He has continued my bed rest for the next month. I still have a clot under the baby, but the baby looks great. High Risk Dr told me worse circumstance is water breaking now due to clot. Hopefully it will reabsorb. In the mean time, I'm still having daily bleeding.
