I do shops for them. They email you and tell you what's available in the area. Based on your rating, you can either self-assign or apply for a shop.
You have to be very organized and things have to be done by certain dates. The pay is not great, but you get reimbursed for things and small pay. I usually have groceries reimbursed and odd things too. My favorites is when we get to shop awesome restaurants and have free dinner. it takes up to 60 days to be paid for shops.
I sent you a PM. The organizations I have worked for require you to do the mystery shop, usually make a purchase, and scan receipts or business cards and upload the images. The pay is not too great, but I get some free food and I like to do mystery shops for my grocery store since I'd be going there anyway. I usually get paid the following month for all of my shops done the previous month. Usually in the middle of the month. One company pays via check or direct deposit and the other pays via Paypal. There was one I used to do that paid in gift cards, but I forget which one it was.
Always be wary of scams. Even reputable businesses have had trouble with individuals posing as their company. If anyone sends you a check and asks you to cash it and send part of it back, it's a scam.
I pick my assignments, usually get to bring a guest, and it either pays in cash or GC to the store. I use it as a "mommy night out" or "date night". I usually do an assignment a month.

I did this in college a few times and had completely forgotten about it! I'll be checking out these sites. Thanks OP and responders! (PS when I did it the company reimbursed me and paid a small amount to my paypal account about a month or two later- they always had a limit on how much they reimburse, though)
Their site explains all about the shops and pay and pretty much what all you need to know. I did shops for Chanel,Saks, and a few others. I was not required to make a purchase. You give some background info on yourself and then can scroll through listings in your area as to where they are looking for a shopper. The more shops you do, the better your work is the more shops and companies you have a chance of shopping for and of course higher pay. Some shops maybe just reimbursement of a product (pappa johns pizza) or you get get a decent amount (the highest I go was $15 for a shop). But if you do several shops, that's still pretty good pocket change. They pay out monthly, so you accumulate you "earnings" in that time period and then they send you a check.
