I think the pregnant nurse sounded kinda dumb saying she was jealous of a woman who was 36 weeks pregnant and in labor and she was 38 weeks and still pregnant. That baby's lungs at 36 weeks might not be developed yet... maybe she didn't mean it like it sounded idk.

The husband that keeps bugging his wife to call people..I have a BIG feeling that is going to be my DH even though we have already talked about how things are going to work come the time, I know DH and he will sit there and bug me..he may end up being kicked out of the room. haha.
the husband who keeps wanting to call people also used his middle finger to rub his eye. i am sure he didn't mean it that way but when i first saw it i thought he had just flipped his wife off!

I'm sure she knows...she's just venting to her coworkers. I'm sure that when I'm 28 weeks I'll be b*tching to mine too. It doesn't mean I actually want the baby early, just that I'm sick of feeling like a whale. That's how I interpreted her anyways...
DH is watching it upstairs and he called me (I'm in our movie room)... that labor with the shoulder freaked him out! He said his heart is racing!! Gosh that was very scary!! (I secretly love he is watching it in bed!!!)
the girl that is having the twins is soo cute. They used 2 different donors a white guy & a black guy. From what I understand you wouldnt really be able to tell at birth cause even black babys come out pretty damn white.
My friend is white & her dh black & her babys looked white when they came out! IDK, I could be wrong.
According to my mom that's what I looked like when I was born and when my granddad saw me for the first time he almost passed out because he thought I was deformed, lol!
wow the baby with the shoulder thing! How scary. I was almost crying for her.
I was crying.
Ditto, there were tears. But that was one cute baby!
THISTHISTHIS. DH and I made the decision last week to have CSection this Thursday because of that exact reason. To see a shoulder dystocia delivery just solidified my decision...holy $hi$$. The sight of the baby still and not crying made me LOSE it. But, she was so cute and Im glad to see her ok!

My daughter was born with a conehead too. Freaked us out, but within hours you could barely tell.

Most babies are born with a cone head, unless they're section babies. The exit they're coming out of isn't very big!! Dd was tiny and I only pushed for 30 minutes and she had a huge cone head! And the add dad cracked me up. If you have a long labor, with an epi, it's boring. I was in labor for 24 hours and I thought dh was going to shoot himself, he was so bored. Thankfully, we at least had the NCAA basketball tourney to watch! Lol! (sorry for the lack of paragraphs, I'm on my phone!)

I actually thought the ADD dad was humerous. I could see my H being like that to a cetain degree. It seemed more like a nervous tick of his to me, than just being annoying. Some people just deal with their anxiety different!
Baby Emma was cute... I have to admit, I was holding my breath when they were working on her, and I teared up when she let out her first cry!
The twins... just CUTE! That couple seemed like such a loving couple too.

I liked this week a lot more than last week (I actually hated last week). This week made me excited to have my baby. Here are some of my thoughts about this episode:
*I totally noticed the dad flip off the camera. Like the PP said, I doubt it was intentional but since someone mentioned it I thought I would throw in that I saw it too.
*I also thought it was odd that the 38 week pregnant nurse made the comment about being jealous of people having their babies at 36 weeks. You would think that with her working with babies that come too early she wouldn't throw around comments like that. Yes, 38 weeks pregnant is uncomfortable, but I wouldn't want a 36 week baby.
*ADD dad annoyed the crap out of me. His wife seemed to love him though, good for her.
*To the PP who mentioned scheduling her c-section, you're scheduling it because you're afraid of shoulder dystocia?

According to my mom that's what I looked like when I was born and when my granddad saw me for the first time he almost passed out because he thought I was deformed, lol!
I had a conehead from the suction they used to extract me (my mom had a difficult labor). My dad thought it was permanent, and slowly said, "...we can put cute hats on her, right?"

Re: One Born Every min. Discussion...
If my boyfriend said his back hurt from sleeping wrong while I am in labor... he would be a dead man.
That poor nurse at 38 weeks pregnant!!!
I'm not judging the nurse at 38 weeks pregnant at all... it's a dang hard job when not pregnant!
I like this episode better than last week.
That 1st husband is soo annoying. I would tell him to just STFU already! Wow.
I also agree poor nurse being 38weeks. I would feel bad if she was my nurse, I would ask her if she wanted to hook up to my pitocin! lol
The ADD/anxious/excited dad is already getting on my nerves. His wife is a patient woman.
ETA: sorry for the accidental double post. TB is moving really slow for me tonight.

And poor nurse, she is just done!

That was such a scary labor, and the silence afterward.... terrifying. Thank goodness it turned out okay.
the baby girl just born nearly made me cry
the one who they called nicu on
Same here, and my husband even put down his book to watch that birth.

Look at the conehead on the ADD Dad's baby!
According to my mom that's what I looked like when I was born and when my granddad saw me for the first time he almost passed out because he thought I was deformed, lol!
I can't believe that it is already over! wow. I thought this one was ok, but next week with the young couple texting! That may be good.

I was BAWLING watching this delivery. That poor family, glad baby Emma ended up being healthy!
