Hi - I thought I'd post what has been helping me since several Bumpees and LO's are having skin problems, esp. with this winter being so harsh. I have a small spot of eczema that occassionally flares up on my hands. It seems to be from irritants like cleaners. Anyway, I currently have a little patch that just isn't giving it up, so in desperation last night I applied two oils, first some Aveda Balancing Infusion (I buy this at the hair salon and I use it for a few weeks under my face lotion if I start to become sensative to my free from everything already lotion - then I am good for a while) and rubbed that in. Then I applied Cold Pressed Castor Oil and rubbed that in. This morning, the redness is about half, it doesn't itch or hurt when I touch it. I think it will be completely gone in a few days. I have tried some other oils, lotions and cremes and nothing has worked. Since I used both, I don't know if it was one of the two oils or the combo, but it's working.
Oh, my only caution would be not to use the Aveda Balancing Infusion if you are pregnant. I think that there is something in it (Rosemary??) that I read that can cause contractions.
