My brother went there for his HM and he says IT.WAS.AMAZING.

  • We went to Dreams Tulum and LOVED it!  It's in the Riviera Maya.

  • We went to the El Dorado Seaside (sister resort of the last one you have listed).  It was amazing.  It's a bit smaller than the Royale, but that's what we wanted.  The room was really nice and the food - I'm still dreaming about it!  The staff was also amazing.  Everyone from the ladies who cleaned our room to the people at the front office - super nice and helpful.
  • We stayed at the Regency through Sandals-St lucia.  It was amazing.  We were able to go to all three of the resorts to eat for free, and it was so much fun.  If you could stay at one, I believe Regency was centrally located.  I believe the  Halycon only had a couple eating options, but since you can go to any, as long as you allow enough time with the bus schedule it will be fine.  We also did a tour of St. Lucia excursion and it was really fun too!
  • None of the above, but we loved Sandals Whitehouse in Jamaica.

I honestly think you can't go wrong with any all-inclusive. I'll admit that we were skeptical of Sandals - seemed cliche' to us, and we weren't sure it would feel upscale. It definitely did. Amazing food, awesome drinks, gorgeous rooms.

One thing about Sandals Whitehouse that you should know is that it's pretty far away from excursions like waterfalls, etc. We chose it on purpose because we didn't want to do any of that stuff.

We stayed at the Sandals Grande in St. Lucia and LOVED it.  We went to the Halcyon one day and weren't really impressed.  It is very small and is on a very public part of the beach.  The Grande and the Regency in St. Lucia both have private beaches with no access by the public.

And in response to your FB post.  We liked St. Lucia better because there were 3 resorts we could go to.  Antigua is just one.  ANtigua is BEAUTIFUL and the water was much pretty than St. Lucia.  All in All they are both fantastic.  I think we are just sentimental about st. lucia bc of our honeymoon

  • We went to the Aventura Spa Palace in Riviera Maya.  It is near Tulum, which is an amazing ruins site.  I would recommend doing an all-inclusive in the Riviera Maya.

Personally, on my honeymoon we didn't want to take time away from pool/beach/each other to spend on a bus going to other resorts or excursions.  We only did Tulum b/c of its beauty and close proximity.

My recommendation in general is to pick an adults-only resort with 4 or more restaurant options and just to hole up for the time you've got!  Unless you are an active couple, then my advice wouldn't apply so much.  Smile

We also went Dreams Tulum and it was AMAZING! We only went on one bus excursion to the Tulum ruins the rest of the time we stayed at the resort so much to do and the food was always very very good we still talk about it a few years later. :)

  • We went to NH Royal Beach in Punta Cana for our honeymoon in November. We loved it! It hasn't been opened for too long so everything is still super nice. The beach was clean and gorgeous. The rooms were very nice and spacious. There's not a ton of stuff to do other than around the resort, but when you have a beautiful beach and unlimited drinks who needs to go anywhere :)

  • ((lurking)) None of the above but I went to the Sandals Negril in Jamaica and it was wonderful!!! I can't wait to go back, free drinks, the staff is fabulous, the beaches are amazing, the food is great, and I have heard all of these things about all Sandals resorts.  Hope that helps! Big Smile
