Holy Crap!! Am I going to give birth to a toddler!! Please tell me if they were right with your LO's

Hi Ladies,

 

When I went for my 33 week growth scan, LO was measuring almost 3 weeks ahead at 5lbs. 13oz. Seeing as I?d only gained 11/12 lbs, my OB requested that I take another Glucose test to assure that there wasn?t an issue. I took it and passed that one as well. When I went to my 39 week appt. this past Monday , my OB ordered that I have another ultrasound. DH and I went yesterday afternoon and LO?s weight is estimated at 8lbs. 13oz!! WTF?? I?m so scared! At this point, I?ve gained right 14lbs. If my OB lets me go over my due date and I don?t go into labor?I could give birth to a 10lber!! I know they can be off with these scans, but I?d really like to know how many of your weight estimates were accurate.

    You can do it and will be just fine. Emma was a week early and she was 8.14 and 22 inches and after 30 mins of pushing she was out. They are telling me to expect this one to be a 9 lber.. wahoooo. lol

    I'm a bit nervous about having a huge baby too. No growth scans, but DH and I were both almost 9 lbs... I just know LO is gonna be around the 9/10 lb mark. Our siblings kids have been just under 10 lbs too. I'm just trying to breathe and remember that if my body can grow a 9/10 lb baby, it can give birth to one too!

    I had an u/s the day before my son was born. They guessed him to be 7lbs10oz. He was born at 6lbs8oz so they were off by more then a pound.

    At my 31 week appt, they told me she was 4.5 lbs. Then at 36 weeks they told me she was already 7lbs 9oz.  This would have put her over 9lbs. I gave birth at 39 weeks 1 day, and she was 8lbs 4 oz. So, they ended up being about a pound off with me.  I also had GD and excess fluid, which may have caused her to measure bigger.

    I had a growth scan with my son around 36 weeks and they estimated 7lbs even at that time.  He was born at 40w 4d weighing 7lb 4oz-  which means they were WAY off a month prior.

     

    EDD with #4  01-20-14
    Proud mama to a boys-  6/17/09 - a girl 2/23/11- and a boy 8/20/12

    With DS# 3 they did an u/s and said he'd be well over 10 lbs. He was born via c/s at 39 weeks and weighed 9lbs 5oz. And my friends used to tease me cause I was so big telling me I was going to give birth to a toddler or that he was just going to walk right out. This time around I only had the u/s at 20 weeks but the dr thinks she'll be over 8lbs but not as big ass DS# 3 after measuring yesterday. I have a c/s schedule for Monday morning. So, they can be off or they can be close on the estimates.
