Indiana Babies

s/o FP Seahorse

Emma does not go to sleep by herself.  We sit on the bed next to her (not touching) and she goes to sleep and we leave.  I know it is time to go to the next step, but I also want to keep it less scary.  She isn't big on stuffed animals, but may be ok with something like this that plays music.  We have the baby crack machine but we live in the country so her room is absolutely pitch black at night so we leave the projector on all night.  I am wondering if something like this would maybe work for an older child?  Thoughts?

  • FWIW, Jackson likes to mess around with Scarlett's.  :)  haha.

Anyway, Jackson also likes this little Cars LED push light my MIL got him for Christmas in his stocking.  It's small, but gives off a lot of light and he keeps it in his bed w/ him.   She also got one for Scarlett but it is Disney Princess.

What about going old school w/ a gloworm?

    I would try it.

Andrew has the old school glow worm.  He really, really loves it.

After his first bout of 3 month sinus infections we made a new rule that when we decide it's time for him to go to bed, he gets once chance.  We don't go back.  At that time, we introduced the glow worm.

Now he doesn't even cry at night if he's sick or teething.  If he wakes up, we hear his glowworm play a round and he goes back to sleep :-)

Try it!  We just got a new glow worm (ours bit the dust) and it was like $9 on Amazon.  We are registering for a 2nd one for baby 2.

  • Ummmm, how sad is it that I just remembered that Emma already has a glow worm?  Oops!  I think I will try it.  She never really played with it so it will be like it's brand new!  Thanks ladies for reminding me!
