Hawaii Babies

Q: Trip to HI (Maui and Honolulu)

We are taking a trip to Hi in about 2 weeks to visit some family. If you live in Maui (anywhere) or Honolulu is there anything fun to do with a one year old. We were there when my DD was 4 months and she hated the beach, we are hoping she likes it this time, but if not, we would like to take her to do something she would enjoy. TIA!

  • Hi!  I live in Honolulu and these were my favorite things to do with my niece when she was little:

Honolulu Zoo- there's a keiki zoo.  Chickens, goats, ducks etc...

Children's Discovery Center- Kind of expensive for me & I started taking her when she was able to walk.

Waikiki Aquarium- Lots of sea life to look at

I know she's probably too young for these things, but I hope something might spark some interest.

There also the Maui Aquarium which is neat because you walk through a tunnel where the ocean animals "swim around/above" you.  :) (Lahaina)

    There's also the Lahaina Train.

There's also a really cool park in upcountry maui, called Kalakapua.  Google Kalakapua Maui and look at the pictures.  So pretty, mostly for older kids though.

I hope this helps you.  Feel free to ask questions.
