Georgia is now 21 lbs and 30 inches long. I am ready to move her to a RF convertible- the pumpkin seat just isn't cutting it now. Our second car is a little elantra. There isn't a whole lot of room as is and with 2 car seats in the back no one else is able to ride back there. we tried one of Hudsons car seats RF to gauge space and we would have to put the passenger seat so far forward I don't think anyone else could comfortably ride up front either. We will be rear facing at least until 2 so we have a while. I definitely didn't see myself with 2 kids when I bought this car 5 years ago:). Sooo all that back story to ask which convertible car seat you have for smaller cars. I saw the combi chiccoro reco'd but the height/ weight limits seem a bit low. Thanks!
Re: Convertible car seat for smaller car
I was going to suggest the Combi Coccoro because it's one of the convertible seats with the smallest profile on the market. It RFs up to 33 lbs - that's in line with most other manufacturers. As far as the FFing limit - at 40 lbs you could move to a booster or a combination seat like a nautilus that harnesses to 65 and then becomes a booster.
That's actually a pretty good price at Meijer!
If you get it, make sure to read the directions thoroughly when you install it. It's got unique features as far as installation goes... Not difficult, but different.
