To iPhone or not to iPhone

I'm not sure I can justify getting an iPhone. I really want one but right now we only pay $90 a month for 2 phones, no data plans, unlimited talk and text. That's pretty good. If I were to get an iPhone our bill would go up at least an xtra $70 a month. That's a big increase. So I don't know, I think DH is going to say no to the iPhone. I mean, I know it's cool and all but I can put that money elsewhere, like in a gym membership. Hmmm, don't know what to do... I've waited so long but at the same time, I can wait longer, maybe until the plans get cheaper.
Me: 44 DH: 42. DS born healthy at 40 weeks 8/24/09. TTC since then with no luck or ART. Surprise BFP 8/6/14... MMC @ 8 weeks 4 days... Miss you everyday sweet baby angel.

    And what the heck happened to my avatar? It's been replaced by a generic graphic... weird.

    Well you're working now right?  Wink  I say get one, everyone should have a smartphone so they can use the apps to keep their toddlers from fussing in restaurants and at the doctor's office!

    I had not even thought about that but what an added bonus! Right now my phone is lame and LO gets bored of it easily, the iPhone would rock. Although I'd have to get the Otter case so he doesn't destroy it. Looks like it will only be $30 more if DH and I both switch to verizon, under the family plan. We have to be with the same carrier or else it's too expensive.

    I love mine. DH got me a refurbished 3GS for Christmas and it was only $50. He still has the original 3G and has decided to wait and see what they release this year before upgrading. You might want to do that. I think the new ones usually come out in early June.

    Yeah, they'll probably release the G5's pretty soon. I'm sure the G4's will be cheaper in a few months, but I think I don't want to wait :)

    Just something to think about... the service costs may not get cheaper and  may actually increase.  Of course the next phone will come and my brand-new iPhone 4 (3g service) will be super slow... but I don't regret getting it for one second.

    I still have a 3G (not even the 3Gs) and it works fine, I will probably upgrade when the new one comes but it works great, has great apps, and really the only thing I'm missing is the better camera and video apps.
