I considered naming everything that I'm considering to be stupid in my title, but it won't all fit, so I will just summarize it with the succinct title of Stupid Day.
Stupid Me: Approximately 3 weeks ago I twisted my ankle while walking on the ice. It hurt, no big deal, it should hurt. The problem is that the pain continued to get worse. I ignored it, hoping it would go away. No such luck, I finally gave in and went to the dr today.
Stupid Hospital and Dr: Dr said I for sure tore a ligament, and maybe have a fracture, so he sent me to the hospital to get an x-ray. Of course they ask that lovely little question of, "could you be pg?". I was honest, yes, it's possible, but way too early to know for sure. Hospital doesn't get this answer. Makes a slew of calls, finally says you have to PIAC and test. I say that won't work, I triggered, the test will be a false positive. Stupid hospital has never heard of such a thing, never heard of the med, etc. I waste another 45 minutes while they try to figure out what to do with me. I suggest that they just give me two of those shield things. They finally agree that should work. I get the x-ray taken, the stupid tech insists on moving my foot for me and flexing my toes with made me cry in pain.
Stupid DH: I text DH explaining all the issues and why I still am not home. His response, "Then don't get an x-ray."
I was also locked out of work today because my key card didn't work on one side of the building and a door was frozen shut on the other side. I seriously could go on and on, but will spare you.
