Up and Up diaper fail - BRU Diapers?

So we tried the Up and Up diapers for our lil one which worked great! .... until his first bowel movement. I don't know what it is about them but he managed to have a blow out on every subsequent movement after that. So, as hopeful as we were we have to try something else. Luvs seem to be okay so far, but has anyone tried the BRU brand diapers? They really seem to be reasonably priced all things considered.

Thanks!

  • Really? We've loved the Up and Ups and hated the Luvs. The Up and Ups have held every blowout so far. I haven't tried the BRU diapers, but the Pampers (non Dry Max) seem to work pretty well for us as well.

The Luvs have a smell I don't care for but they have contained everything. And yes! I was surprised the Up and Up ones didn't work. I had heard a lot of great things about them.

  • I agree with you on the smell with the Luvs. I didn't care for that either.

  • BRU's are awful!!  They leaked so bad that I didn't even finish the box!

  • If you're trying to save money, try amazon mom.  I just signed up and I'm buying name brand diapers for cheaper than all of the store brands.  We used BJ's brand for months and I think they are really good.

  • OMG, do NOT buy BRU diapers. They are beyond horrible. I have about 3/4 of a box left and I plan to take them back and complain to high heaven. They leaked at almost every.single.poop.

I've had great luck with Up and Up, Pampers swaddlers with dry max, and we're now trying Pampers with baby dry. I'm trying to sample a few different brands to find what works best for us.

Also, I hate Huggies. They also leaked like crazy.

  • I have BRU diapers on LO (we're still in NB size). They've been fine. I think I had one huge blow out that came out both legs, but after that I've been a lot more careful when I put them on and haven't had that since. I do like that the top of the back is elastic too so they're a tighter fit there. I'd buy them again.

  • You're probably going to get very mixed answers. It depends on the shape of your baby, the ummm velocity of their pees/poos, and how often you change them.

Some people will hate some brands but love others.

We hated pampers, huggies are ok, luvs ok, walmart ok, upand up has been the best so far.

You should just get the smallest package and see.
