We had a dr's appt today and at 34 weeks and few days, baby is STILL breech! He's so stubborn! I swear this pregnancy has been more difficult than Bella's pregnancy from the beginning so I had a feeling he was still breech, especially when he got the hiccups today on the upper left side of my belly. The plan is to do an u/s at 36 weeks and go from there. If he's still breech then we'll do a manual aversion (I think that's what they called it) at 38 or 39 weeks, if not then nothing. We'll see. I'm googling ideas for how WE can help him turn or encourage it... any one have any tips or experience with this?
Re: Baby's breech!
bummer, hope he realizes it is going to be go time soon and head down is the best way out!
no personal experience, but the ideas I came across were acupuncture, swimming, and laying with your hips considerably elevated
Uggghhh, that's crappy. Hopefully he turns around by himself!
I have no experience but have heard warm baths and lots of walking can help. Keep us posted!

Oooh! I'm sorry he's still breech! The good news is that it's still pretty early, and you've got a good chance that he might turn yet. I didn't discover that Henry was breech until 37 weeks, and he never did turn.
Here's a list of things we tried to get Henry to turn (from the more orthodox medical procedures to the "odder" unorthodox attempts!):
-manual version (at 37 weeks, 2 days)
-acupuncture (one attempt), paired with moxibustion (every night for 10 days)
-positioning (ideas from spinningbabies.com)
-both light and sound aimed "down there" to encourage baby to head down there to see what's going on
For us, nothing worked.....he was very comfy where he was, and very stubborn!
If you do decide to go ahead with the manual version, I wish you luck. I wouldn't want to scare you, but I will say that if I end up with another breech baby in the future, I will not be doing that again. I am glad we tried it once, but I don't think I can handle it again. Personally, I will choose another c-section over that.
Keep us posted on how everything goes, and if you want to talk more about manual versions, acupuncture, moxibustion, or anything else, let me know!
