My LO is growing out of his soon, and I would like to be able to get two for a reasonable price, so that DH and I can each have one in our cars, because we split the PO/DO for DC.
Love love love our Evenflo Symphony. If you can find something old (use Craigslist) to trade in at the Babies R Us sale, you will save about $50 plus there is a $5 coupon on their website which brings it down to $145. It gets great reviews from other Bumpies!

We're doing one expensive and one cheap. We bought a Britax Boulevard 70 on sale for $225 and will buy a Cosco Serena for $50. DS is usually in one car and occasionally dh will do a dc drop-off in the other.

It may be kinda pricey but we just bought the Sunshine Kids Radian XT SL. We love it and so does DD. While it is $299 we ordered it from diapers.com and had a coupon to save over $50 bucks on it which brought it down into the same price range as the Britax ones we were considering. The reason we went with it is because it has an 80 lb. weight limit and also is the carseat (well that's what all my research said) which will allow them to face backwards the longest.
We have the Evenflo Triumph Advance and really like it! I can't remember how much we paid for it but I think it was top quality for middle of the line pricing.
We just installed the Evenflo Triumph last weekend and we LOVE it. We traded in an old carseat MIL got from her neighbor for a 25% off coupon at BRU and used the $5 coupon from the Evenflo website. It was $115 out the door. Very easy to install and use--you don't rethread the shoulder straps to adjust and it has knobs that turn to tighten the straps once DD is buckled in. And it fits perfectly rear facing in my Ford Focus (not a huge backseat).
