I am going to assume that you did/will cover the cost of food? That's what we are planning to do.
What about alcohol though? I don't want to cover that, but will cover soft drinks. Is that reasonable or a serious faux pas? I mean it's not a wedding.
Re: Questions for those who are having/had LO's bday party in a restaurant
Its a kid's birthday party...no need to have alcohol. If people want to drink let them pay for it.

We are having Logan's party at a local pizza place. I reserved the room today. We will have a small group, probably only 10 people and there won't be any other kids there. I could see our friends ordering a beer or two and my MIL having wine which I dont have a problem with. I just don't think it's necessary to pay for that. I won't drink, just because I would rather use my WW pts on the food.
Is there a certain way to let people know. I mean DH would be ok with just telling everyone at the party.
