Cut it out of the peel and put the remainder in a tupperware container with lemon juice. Lemon juice keeps avocado fresh for several days. It's a great solution and the avocado doesn't seem to pick up the lemon flavor.

I could eat them like apples. I just made a turkey, avacado and meunster wrap. Delicious!!
I think you and the boys need to start taking lunchtime field trips to my building. For serious.
Oh, and I've also heard that leaving the pit IN the avacado actually helps to keep it green (as well as a little lemon or lime juice, like notguilty said).
I usually cut them in half, remove the pit and put the tomato, onion, cilantro, lime, salt, peppers, on top for gauc, then put them in a vaccuum seal bag or a freezer bag with the air pushed out as much as possible. Then freeze. When you want a little fresh gauc, pull it out of the freezer to thaw on the counter while cooking your mexican dish, then without opening the bag, you just squeeze it to either a chunky or smooth texture, whatever you prefer. It tastes the same and ours never goes brown, probably due to the lime and freezer combo. And it is SUPER easy.

YUMMO.
I just wrap mine up in plastic wrap and cut off the bronwed bits. But the lemon juice is a good idear too.
I squeeze a little citrus juice on it, put it in a ziploc, and try to suck all the air out.
Or just sprinkle a little salt on it and eat it. YUM.
