I am so happy to be joining this board!

in 1st Trimester

Good Morning Ladies,

This will be my intro post, I used to post on TTC, Then TTTC and then I sort of gave up.  After a long struggle I am finally pregnant and I am overjoyed to join the 1st Tri!  My first Dr.Apt is next Wednesday and I am excited/ anxious about it.  What should I expect?  Thanks in advance.

    Congrats!  Welcome!  Not sure about first appt since mine is next week too.

    Welcome and Congrats!  My first Dr appointment with #1 was with a NP.  I asked a lot of questions and filled out tons of paperwork.  They made me wait until 8 weeks to see the dr and get an u/s.

    Congrats and welcome!  The 1st appt is usually just lots of information exchange.  You provide the medical history for you and DH and they give you lots of info about pregnancy. 

    I'm not sure from what you said, but if you were doing any kind of fertility treatments, they may do an u/s.  I had an u/s at my first appt with my son because I used clomid.  It was real quick and all we saw was that he was in my uterus and he was there with a little flutter of a heartbeat.  This one was concieved without clomid so no u/s at my first appt.  I will have one at my second appt with the OB in two weeks.
