birth certificate

I was just wondering (since I can't remember) does the birth certificate get sent to you? or you have to go somewhere to pick it up? DD was born Nov. 1.... Sooo should i have gotten something by now, or ??? Thanks =)
DD #1: BFP: 3-6-10 EDD: 11-10-10 Baby Girl Came 11-1-10
DD #2: BFP: 8-19-18 EDD: 4-30-19

    Hmm...I honestly cannot remember exactly (those first 6 weeks are such a blur!) but I do remember that the hospital gave me something I had to mail into the state or something with a check in order to get the birth cert. Did you get anything when you checked out of the hospital? I think you should either have it by now or have it soon.

    You have to get it yourself by either going down to the city clerks office or requesting it by mail.

    I know that the babys ss# is sent to you and the birth cert you have to go get it at the clerks office in your area
