update on us (baby boy is here!)

Am still absolutely in shock over the last couple of weeks that DH and I have had!  As a refresher, we were matched two weeks ago today with a sweet BM who was due February 15.  Cut to the middle of that night (or technically, 5AM the following morning) when our cell rings, and it's the BM telling us that she's in the hospital, about to get her epidural!  We raced like maniacs to gather stuff for us and the baby and throw it in the car to make the 6 hour drive to the her.  Meanwhile we were panicking because she hadn't had her initial counseling session yet (it's supposed to happen at least 10 days before discharge from the hospital) and we hadn't had our home study visits!  But to make an actually- -very-short-in-days-but-long-in-telling story brief, we spent two days in the hospital, brought the little man back home with us, waited out the 10 days for BM to have her counseling sessions, and are now parents to a wonderful baby boy who will be 2 weeks old tomorrow.  BM signed TPR on Saturday. 

Happiest whirlwind ever.  I will post a picture on the FB page.

*TTC since February 08* 2 IUIs that didn't take, exploratory LAP and hysterscopy in September 2010 that revealed nothing, means we're adopting! Preliminary paper work to agency & started home study in 11/10 Profiles to agency on 1/12/11 - Officially waiting!
