OBGYN Mercy & a Hello

Hello Everyone! New to the Bump but I used to post at the Knot when I was planning my June '08 wedding. I have been busting my brain trying to find a new OBGYN. My husband and I are planning on TTC this year and I want to get an all clear. I didn't really LOVE my previous Dr plus she only was a GYN.

I really prefer a female (picky I know) and I need someone who was privileges at Mercy Hospital. When looking up with that criteria I come up with a few names but I know next to nothing about these 3 women or if they even do OB or just are specialized. Any help would be much appreciated. These are the names that popped up: Cecilia Grande, Marilu Madrigal and Kimberly Thompson.

Re: OBGYN Mercy & a Hello

  • Thompson is an Reproductive Endocrinologist and won't delivery babies.

I delivered at Mercy, and LOVED the hospital and the treatment we received.  I also love the practice I go to, but they are all male.  Personally, I rather a male doctor, but that is personal preference.  If you change your mind, I highly recommend Miami OBGYN.  Mine is Rolando DeLeon (but may not accept new patients anymore).  However, I also LOVE Gregory Guell that is newer to the practice.  He gave me great care during the last month (he happened to be on call every time I went in to L&D).

  • Hello,

Welcome to the bump!  I delivered at Mercy in May of 09'.  My group is Miami OBGYN.  I love them.  My doctor is also DeLeon.  The other Docs are great too.  I know they are not female doctors, but they are good.  Sorry I couldn't be of much help.

  • Also wanted to add my sister and SIL see the Triana brothers also in Mercy.  SIL delivered her 3 children with them and she speaks very highly of them... again, male, but wanted to add.

Both of these practices are the largest at Mercy.  I went to birthing classes there, and everyone in the class (about 10 couples) were with either of these groups.
