Would you return this?

I purchased some A&A blankets from Target about 4 weeks ago. When I took one out of the dryer today, I noticed two holes in the blanket.

I know that textiles break down after awhile or with heavy usage, however, I have only had the blankets for about a month. They have probably been in the washer every week. We have 8 of the blankets so we don't use this particular one everyday. Oh and we wash anything with velcro (aka bibs) separately in the wash. So, its not like it would have snagged on anything. It doesn't even look like a snag hole, but more like a worn down hole. Make sense?

So, would you return them to Target for a replacement or just suck it up? I just thought that A&A would have better quality.

Re: Would you return this?

  • I would return it.  I'm with you on this one and I would think that A&A would hold up better than that.

  • I absolutely would.  They're supposed to be fine in the washer and dryer and for what they cost you should absolutely get more time out of them!
  • Absolutely. We have some crappy Circo-brand receiving blankets from Target that we used a lot the summer Leah was born, and washed them every single week with no wear, and I am betting you paid WAY more for A&A blankets. I'd take them back.

  • I would.  My A&A non-Target ones have been in the wash every 2 days since Serena came home and hold up really well.  I hope the quality isn't inferior, I just bought some off a GF's registry for her!

  • I would--Nicholas' A&A blankets are almost a year old, used every night and day and he chews on the corners (gross I know) and they still look brand new except softer! Maybe it was just a bad batch or something b/c I've never heard of this happening unless they snagged on something

  • Target carries their "generic" brand.  We had the same thing happen with the pack I had from Babies R Us.  Their boutique brand blankets are made better and are a little thicker.  You can find them on Amazon for approximately $35.  I would return that pack to Target and buy a boutique pack online.
  • I would!  They still weren't cheap at Target.  I hope mine hold up.
